That's how I feel today... not tired, just off. And I want and need to snap out of it right now! I feel like I need to run around or DO something ACTIVE... but unfortunately, I'm at work and can't.
I have a soccer game tonight, so maybe that will help at least for tomorrow's focusing ability. But how am I supposed to snap myself out of this feeling right now? I have an hour until lunch... and then my plan is to go outside and walk around... maybe read a little... and ultimately enjoy the sun. Perhaps I just need some vitamin D for the day. I think I'm addicted... to vitamin D... or at least the sunshine.
In any case, I am struggling to put all my energy into focusing my mind on work stuff today. This is the cycle I continually deal with... it happens every two weeks or so and it seems like it has arrived again in an unexpected fury. I hate it when it happens because everything becomes so much harder to do at work... when it should be easy. It is easy... its just hard to focus and ultimately DO.
Does that even make sense? I'm not sure.
I guess it just requires a little perseverance... one little step forward at a time. When things seem stagnant, or the objectionable pieces of our reality reveal themselves in full force, all we can do is continue walking forward. If we do not, we will only be consumed by the negative parts of our circumstance instead of focusing on the positive aspects that have the ability to motivate and create opportunities for us to grow and become more ourselves. Because that's the truth. Every life experience comes with both positives and negatives... what matters is how we choose to interact with them. Will we allow the negative to saturate our minds with self pity? Or, instead, choose to live in the freeing inspiration of the positive?
And so, I will try my hardest to focus on the positive at work today... and tomorrow... and for the rest of the week. And eventually my focus will return... and I will feel excited once again to be in this place at this time, working for this awesome company in the most amazing job one could ever have. Because my job truly is the most amazing job one could ever have. And I know that... and believe in that.
Its just hard right now.
