Let Us Not Forget...

Let us remember the responsibility we have to pray for our leaders. Regardless of our happiness or disappointments - we need to pray.

And let us remember to pray for our fellow Americans - that they may find complete freedom, peace and hope - not from a leader or promises - but from the only Savior who has ever walked this Earth... without Him we will ALL continue to thirst for solutions to our plight that we will never find.

Lastly, let us look at this time in history as an opportunity - an opportunity to seek Jesus, ask for intercession on behalf of our leaders and the American people, and watch as Jesus works despite the sin in ALL our lives. Let us not be discouraged, but take up hope in the one who knows all, sees all, and works in the way He has planned from the beginning of time. Let us also remember that every day this world moves toward the time when Jesus will return. This is not our home... we are merely ambassadors of His grace and Love. Now is the time to take our role seriously - for Jesus continues to work regardless of our own inequities. So, let's let Him.

There's definite hope in that.

Also, check out this article by Pastor Mark Discoll... it is pretty interesting.
